Meet Dr. Shasta Ericson!

Dr. Shasta Ericson is a second-generation licensed acupuncturist in California with over 30 years of experience in holistic medicine, specializing in fertility and women’s health. She holds a Doctorate in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (DAOM), representing advanced postgraduate clinical training beyond the master’s level required for licensure.

Having grown up in a medical clinic, healing has been part of Dr. Ericson’s life from an early age. At just 21 years old, she helped her first fertility patient—a 42-year-old woman who had never conceived—become pregnant within three months. That life-changing experience ignited her lifelong passion for helping women conceive, maintain healthy pregnancies, and deliver healthy babies. Many patients describe her as having a rare gift for helping bring life into the world.

Dr. Ericson trained under Grandmaster Dr. Miriam Lee, OMD, a renowned infertility specialist. She continues this lineage-based approach today, combining traditional wisdom with modern integrative medicine.

She is the founder of Way of Wellness Healthcare Inc. in San Jose, California, where every patient works directly with Dr. Ericson at each visit. Unlike larger clinics, she provides personalized, one-on-one care using gentle, pain-free acupuncture in calm, incubator-like treatment rooms designed to support optimal fertility outcomes.

In addition to her private practice, Dr. Ericson has lectured at the Stanford Center for Integrative Medicine, worked in an integrative medicine clinic at O’Connor Hospital, and served as a contributing editor for nationally used acupuncture treatment guidelines. She also offers a proven 4-step holistic fertility program that addresses the physical, emotional, and hormonal aspects of reproductive health.

Dr. Ericson is a Certified Health and Wellness Coach and the author of The Amazing Healing Power of Kitchari. She also co-created and co-starred in the local television show "Your Healthy Living". which focused on natural health and wellness.
